Alan was finally laid to rest in Epsom Cemetry on the Noth Downs an area where he loved to ride his bike. The family funeral was attended by KPRC members from the MTB group and our tribute is laid near the grave centre piece above.

I've just returned from a 4 day cycle ride in Rajasthan! We flew to Delhi, caught the sleeper train to Jodhpur, where we picked up local single gear bikes and proceeded to ride to a small village that my company supports in Udaihpur, called Udawad! Just wondered if anyone could give me some advice about potentially having a go at some cyclocross events this winter. Six KPRC riders entered the Anerley 50 and Pete and Jake had flagged it up as an event where we could win the Surrey/Sussex Team. Some how or other Ann did not get the message so Ron is filling the gap while munching some very good cake provided by the organisers. A well run event and though fairly windy we all managed to finish in the dry. Commiseration's to Philip for puncturing. Well done

Ann has just phoned to let me know that the organisation have been in touch and she has been given a distance of 319.99m for the event. That works out as a VTTA National and Surrey/Sussex Group Record for age 62. I rather assume that it will be at least a Club Age Record as well, but need to go out now so will check and confirm in due course. Congratulations, Ann! Lisa ---

Jean Carlo, widow of past member Len Steel died on Monday 13th June 2011. She suffered a massive stroke on the previous Friday - which came after a lesser but debilitating stroke some six months ago - and failed to recover.
